Alexander Viacheslavovich Golubev is an Honored master of sport, the first Olympic Champion of Russia, a prize-winner of World Championships, World Cups, the Cups of the USSR and Russia, Junior World record-holder at a 500m distance, participant of three Olympic Games.
Alexander Golubev was born on the 17 of May, 1972 in Kostroma town. Kostroma is a provincial town with a population 300 thousand people. It was founded by Yurii Dolgorukii in 1152 and is believed to be a historical home of Russian tsars of the Romanov dynasty.
